What rod size for 383 with future planing in mind?

Hey all, had a question. I am building a 383 stroker with a callies dragon slayer crank, 4 bolt splayed main, prob gonna go with a set of 16cc dished JE custon 2618 forged steel pistons. The heads are 55cc, and I will be shooting for an 11:1 CR. I want to be able to spraying anywhere from a 50 shot to a 250 from my NX wet kit. What size rod would you use for this application? It will be from callies and they make 5.7" 5.85" and 6". ALSO, within a year from building this application i would LIKE to go with a set of AFR 76cc heads *up flow, lower compression* and slap on a supercharger and run approx 12-15psi of boost, and also be able to spray if I wanted. Would size rod would you run if you wanted to plan ahead? Or would you run a 6" like everyone else is it seems. Post away what you think i should do.

There ain't a nickles worth of difference in 5.7-5.85-6.0 They all make the same power and the wear is a nil factor. Comes down to cost and how the stroker is packaged.

Considering the power-adders you mentioned, I'd go with a 5.7" rod, which will move the piston away from the head faster and make the motor more detonation resistant.

Edit: Oh, and; keep your quench tight.

if you want a 250 shot I wouldn't do the 6 inch rods.

cool, thanks all..looks like i will be doing a 5.7" rod, Does the shorter rod legnth effect static compression ratio?

NO.... not if you have the piston that goes with the rod and stroke.
