what a releif

well, after every 1 telling me how insanely un-mechanical i had to be for my drivers side header to take me 3-4 day to bolt up....pass side sliped right in only thing in the way is the dip stick.....what a releif, tlel me something, how the HECK do you get the dipstick out....all i found that i could unbolt was a bracket...is the dipstick pressed into the block or no?

only one bolt holds it on, you have to pull it out very carefully

me neither, it didn't even have the bolt when i pulled it. I took a wire wheel to the end that slides into the block and made it a lot easier to put back in.

Mine too. I cut a half inch off and grinded it a lil. Still went in snug. Put a lil Ultra Copper around it to make sure it didn't leak. Bolt went back in.

You'e gonna need a friend to help you take out the stick and put it back. Someone has to be underneath.

i took a flat screwdriver, and placed it on the bracket from underneath, a couple firm hits with a dead-blow hammer and it was out.
