At what point does the stock tbody...
Become a restriction on power? When is a 52mm better to have, and then a 58mm? I have a 52mm now, but I don't know if it was needed to make the power I'm at now, or if a 58mm will be that much better.
I guess the real question, is that with the setup you can see in my sig. would a 52mm t body be that much better than stock hp wise and how much more power is made with a 58mm. I never had the stock one on this motor so I don't know a power difference.

I remember a member of theis board running LE2 heads with one of Brett's cams. He was running 11.70s with 410 RWHP and still using the stock TB. I'd say you were OK with the 52mm. You might pick up a few HP with a 58mm. I wouldn't bother unless I found a used one for cheap.

I was in a similar situation. I bought the car with the 52mm and after 4 years, decided to see if it really had a gain over a stock 48. I had one laying around, threw it on and the car lost no power and actually has a lot more throttle responce. Tires spin a lot easier now, the engine revs up faster too. Im full bolt on, LTs and a hot cam. My 52mm BBK is now for sale.

did a swap on my buddys car on the dyno, went from stock to a 58 and he gained 10hp and gained a decent amount up the entire rpm band.
this was on a bolt on + 305 cam car
and yes, his intake was already ported for the 58
