What out of these problems would kill my gas mileage the most?

Ok, I've got 3 problems with my car and money to fix probably 2 of the 3. So here's what I've got.

Code 32 for right oxygen sensor failure.
Code 63 for EGR problems

The last problem doesn't throw a code and I'm not sure what the name for it is but it's the cable beside the throttle cable that tells your transmission when to shift. It doesn't move even when I full the gas. The car takes forever to shift unless I let off the gas and then it shifts after it touches that part. (I'm getting all of this from my friend's dad who is a certified mechanic.) Apparently the transmission was rebuilt or it got a new one before I bought the car and they didn't hook that up correctly. He told me that we could probably drop the transmission pan and fix it. If someone knows the real name for this cable that would help a lot. Would it be that easy to hook it up if it was forgotten? How much trouble would it be to do this? How much trouble would it be if I need a new cable? I can't keep the car off the road for more than a day or two cause this is my only car.

02 sensor I would guess. EGR shouldn't affect it too much if at all. Also high rpm shifting isnt helping either.

I think your friends dad is not knowledgeable of the newer cars. That cable is not for transmission shifting or kick-down. It's for cruise control. The computer tells the transmission when to shift based on rpm or mph, I can't remember which one. A 700r4 has the shift cable. 4l60e's are electronic. Possibly time for a rebuild.

The second cable next to the throttle cable on 94-up f-bodies isn't a throttle valve cable. It's the cruise control cable. 94-up f-bodies didn't use a throttle valve cable because they got the upgraded 4L60E transmission who's shifts are controlled by the PCM.

You say that you think that the transmission was either recently rebuilt or replaced: I would look to see if maybe the original tranny was swapped with a 700R4. If it turns out that that is the case, then you can swap the throttle body and throttle bracket with one from a 93 to hook up the cable.

I beat you too it, but you explained it better. Good call with the 700r4 swap. I don't know why someone would do that though.

Probably somebody who didn't have a clue that there's a difference between 4L60E's and 700R4's. Either that or they blew up the original 4L60E and didn't have the money to get it rebuilt but just happened to have a 700R4 lying around...
