who all is using it....how reliable is it....how much does the whole swap cost....and where is the cheapest place to get it at? Thx

I am a firm believer of the LTCC box . The box cost me $400.00 and the coils cost me $50.00 and $70 for the plur wires. The only other thing you have to worry about is mounting the coils. When I first installed the LTCC box I noticed a smoother idle and the throttle response was much crisper.

hmmm... new reviews of the C6 and specificlly the LS2 engine keep refering to larger coils.... possible LTCC/LS1/LS6 upgrade? Guess we'll need to wait and see.

 

If you're picking up coils now, you'll probably want to get the ones that came on 99+ Vortech V8 trucks. I'm told the spark energy is slightly higher and the coils have a lower offset time. Not a big difference though. (they look squarer compared to the C5/Fbody coils... same product, just a different manufacturer).

 

Where are you guys getting the coils? I know the junk yard is an option for used coils but what about new?

 

Delteq looks nice.. BUT

I dont like the idea of 4 coils.. I like it better with 8. If you can remove the opti unit and install a SEALED cam sensor then it would be a lot better...

I mean a cam sensor that sends the hi-lo res pulse to the PCM and that is it. I guess that iwth the LTCC the opti becomes undestructible.
