What do you give your LT1?

Special treatment? How come?

Don't give it the good stuff? Why not?

93 or 94, 94 when the Towel heads stop twisting Uncle Sam's arm so hard. I guess I'll vote for 94 since you dont have 93.

94 is more readily available in my area so that's what I flew with...

This summer I may see how she runs with 87 or 89 because of the damn prices.

 

Back in Houston, I always put in 93. No reason to go lower, its not like it is that much more to fill 'er up with the good stuff

 

91...that's all we get around here except a few select places.

 

It depends on elevation... you go up to colorado and you get 84-85 for regular and 90-91 for premium.

I run 93 always... 11.7:1 need it.

So what can I expect from running 87 octane?

 

Risk of detonation, which if sensed will cause the car to pull timing resulting in less power, and possibly less gas milage. However, depending on conditions, you may not experience any negatives at all....

I always run premium though.. I dont want to run any risks.

 

I run 90. Mostly because I can get it for the same price as regular

 

92 is our highest around here...that's what I always run. When I'm spraying I'll mix in 5gal of 110.

 

we have 87, 89, and 93............i always run 93.

 

I put 89 in the first time I drove my car after purchasing it. The next fill I put 93 in the tank and it seemed a little slower. Has anyone else had this situation or was it just a crappy brand of gas?
