what is the normal oil pressure?
I think I might have a problem here my car is only running about 20psi when driving down the road. Just started after it overheated the other day. There isn't any water in the oil and it wasn't low on oil. Does this mean time for a new motor, if so how much does this cost for the lt1? Any help would be great!

Warmed up my car idles at 25 psi and cruises at 45psi. I would veryify your pressure with a good sending unit and guage first.You should have a minimum of 10psi per 1000rpm.

I think my oil gauge is shot, cause at idle its below 20psi and during normal driving its still below 20psi, when i rev it up it barelys moves at all, i think that when I removed my dash to install something I might of hit the gauge accidently..
