What mods should I do now??

I have my engine apart putting my lt4 cam in, and I was thinking about doing some other mods. Do you guys have any other ideas of what I should do while it's apart.

Well it really depends on what kind of money you have to spend. The best mod you could do is get you heads ported. But thats not gonna be cheap. You could also get an electric water pump while you at it.

Im assuming you got the hotcam kit and are installing rr's and all. I would consider a bigger throttle body and some good tuning. My man above was right about the heads. Thats my next step on my car. Good luck.

You could get a bigger tb, tuning, gears, and some goodies like that.

if you have an auto you will need a 2800 stall/shift kit/tranny cooler
3.73 gears
electric water pump
do NOT get bbk headers, get something better
get rid of the hollowed cat, get an Off road pipe
cutout
computer tuning
52mm TB
port your heads
double roller timing chain
good time to replace your opti if its high mileage
dont forget drag radials.

timing set, headers, water pump, and opti are probably a good idea to replace now rather than later

I have BBK's and I like them but they did on a dyno shootout produce the LT1's max torque and HP about 400RPM's sooner than guys with Arizona speed and marine or SLP 1 3/4 headers BUT my power fell off 400rpms sooner than theirs too. For a stock motor, they work o.k. and keep me legal but if money was no issue I'd do Finish Line Performance with the included offroadpipes and high flow cats for 1200.

Thanks for the help guys, and I have the m6 tranny so I won't be doing any stall mods. If anyone else has any ideas throw them out here. I'll check this periodically to see if anyone else responds.
