What mods for my cash?
The car has got some miles on it. Ive run it at the track within the past 3 months and it still runs hard. God Bless the Chevy Small block! Anyhow, Im unsure as to where my money should go. Right now the big problem I have is when I put the car in reverse it kicks it out unless I hold it in. So I MIGHT rebuild the tranny. As far as what else Im unsure. Ive got about $1,000-1,500 to put towards the car. The only mods are listed below. What do you think would be my best route. Im looking for Sound Mechanics,Sound, and Power. What is most likely to go out with this many miles?
Ive Replaced:
Water Pump,Wires,Plugs,Valve Cover Gaskets,Heater Hose,Radiator,Front Main Seal,Rear Main Seal, and probably a couple other small things I cant think of.
Any Help is welcome.

I'd say for that money, you should be able to get a cold air intake (any intake but the G2 is good) and a catback, and a good set of shorty headers. Unless you're looking to make massive power, shorties should get you by and keep you emissions legal. Seems like most people really like MAC shorties and SLP shorties. Take a look at thunder racing (www.thunderracing.com). Alternatively, I hear good things about AS&M midlengths, maybe even Hooker midlengths. You'll have to take a look. Just make sure you get good coated headers. You can get them coated with plain ceramic, or send them off to Jet Hot for their patented coating. Either way, you should be fine. Just be advised that putting headers on is an awful PITA, so you might wind up needing to pay a shop to put them on. The SLP LOUDmouth is an ideal resonator catback system (and it's cheap!) for that evil muscle car sound, and it's dyno'd at around 15rwhp.. $1500 should get you all of that, and maybe enough left over for a bottle of armor all! You could reasonably expect a 30-35rwhp gain from those mods.
