What LT1 year do think is the best??
When i was looking for my camaro. I only wanted a 97 for the reasons of
More HP ( only 10 but hey its more )
And most importantly. The interior. Ya i could have just got a 98-up LS1 but i don't like there new front end look. So 97 gets my vote!!

I like them all. You can't go wrong with any of them. Naturally I voted for, and purchased a 95 because I didn't want OBDII or DRLs. I have both a tuner program and Datamaster so I can tweak it to my heart's content. The LS1s are faster but, for everyday driving the LT1 has fantastic low-end torque that makes driving it a real pleasure on the street and a great bracket car at the strip. Good health and happiness to all.
I vote '96. OBDII, no DRL's. Some people hate the old dash design, I'm not sure why. I don't think that either the 93-96 or the 97+ are that intuitive
.
The other thing that a lot of people are hung up on getting an OBDI car. I could be all wet on this, but I thought you have more programmability with OBDII, plus less difficulty with bolt-ons like stall converters.

You guys are on crack, Erik Estrada need to take you down. It was and still is 1993. The reasons for 95 are the same as always, OBD1 and vented Opti. Well......93 and 94 is OBDI so you can't use that lamoid acuse. Vented Opti? Thats debateable, I see vented cars go out as much as non vented. Also you can convert, it has been done. Lets look at why 93 was far superior
Computer
Speed Density ECM, same thing used in after market set up. No MAF trash, easy to tune and while being tuned you can still operate the car, most places chips piggy back. So it works nicley when fine tuning, no need to pull computers and ship them to Kalamazoo.
Another benefit, 93s, are ECM, the computer only controls the engine. Not the tranny like certain years..........
Trans
TH700R4, the prefered core for race trans builders.
Wide Ratio T-56, drive one and you will know what I am taling about
Speed
93s are faster and respond well to mods.

I have a 95, but I didn't go out with the intent of purchasing it over the other years. I saw it, drove it, and was happy to buy it.
I think each year has advans/disadvans as long as you didn't go buy a 4.6 mustang Gt, you made a good choice.

I would buy a 95 over any other year LT1, except maybe a 96 SS
