What kind of transmission mount to get?

Exactly what the subject says. I am getting a transmission mount and want to know if they are all the same or if there is one in particular that is good. Sorry i dont have enough time to do a search i am ordering a bunch of parts today and want to go ahead and get the tranny mount with them. Thanks

I like the GM 1LE mount ($20 from SLP last time I checked). It is strong enough to hold up to my abuse for a year or so before needing replacement. But if you can stand the vibrations a Solid Poly mount should last longer and feel a bit "tighter". Whatever you do, DO NOT get a cheapie Autoparts store mount. My car chewed through 2 in one week while I was waiting for the SLP 1LE replacement to get here.

EDIT: Well, I just read in another thread that SLP stopped carrying the 1LE mount.

I went with an energy suspention mount and I hated it. Felt like my car was going to vibrate to peices. So I went with Anchor tranny mount from AutoZone came with lifetime warranty, only cost 27 bones. Much happier now

Hrm... I'll have to check that out if my polly ever breaks... It's lasted me about 9 months now!
