What kind of shocks to get???

My car is 8 years old and has the original shocks on it. When i go over bumps i hears a horrible noise that is really getting on my nerves and i am sure its the shocks. I will be purchasing the Eibach lowering springs soon for my car and i want to buy the shocks at the same time. So i was wondering what kind of shocks to get with that set up or what shocks are good in general. And where to get them from. I heard that Billstein shocks are good. Thanks.

depends on your budget and the type of driving you do - bilsteins are very good but SLP take offs are a lot cheaper

I just did the Eibach/Bilstein swap this week and the difference was unbelievable. I went from the stock shocks and springs with 103000 miles on them. The bilsteins are fantastic if youve got the cash. Im sure some hardcore guys will say they wont cut for the really serious stuff but for me theyre great. PS I drive my Z REALLY hard.

It really depends on your budget and what kind of performance your after (check the drag and autocross sections for more input). I have been starting to check this out myself, my car has close to 30K and the stock DeCarbon shocks are had. I don't have any experience with Bilsteins on my Camaro, but they came original on my '91 Z/71 truck, with almost 200K and they still work good, I'm REALLY impressed. I want Bilstein for the Camaro too.

The KYB adjustables are a nice combo with the Eibachs. Think you can get them on a GP, worth checking out...

Call Sam Strano Jr. at stranoparts.com, he'll answer any possible question, and get you the exact setup you want for A: your driving style, B: the state you live in (i.e. condition of roads), C: compatible with other suspension parts being used, and D: future suspension or other mods. Guy loves to talk, and is highly reputable. Call after one in the afternoon, he's not a morning person.

kyb all the way

I have the eibach performance series, and the kyb adj, have the front at 6 and rear at 3 out of 8 settings the car handles better than my cousins viper and porshe big diffrence.

The kybs are the best the bille I had they were to stiff in rear, to be honest if you want the car stiff in front get the bill front and the kyb in back....
