I'm thinking about getting a new exhaust set-up.I need to be emissions compliant.What can I get away with as far as emissions are concerned.Won't you the fail the visual test by changing the location of your cats.What about 02 sims how do they work.Do you need replace each 02 sensor with an 02 sim.

Ive heard of longtubes passing with tuning but i know my AS&M mids will pass without. As for exaust.......cutout. When you take it in to get it inspected just cap it up for good measure. Just my .02

Definatley not. Most people actually get more power from a cutout than a catback because it doesnt have to flow through a muffler. You can put it before or after the cat but almost everybody puts it after the cat on the I - pipe. I always recommend getting a cutout to people cause it sounds the loudest AND gives the most power. Generally about 10 or so to the rears. The best part.................it costs 35 bucks which is heck of a lot better than the price of a catback!!! But hey, thats just my .02. I am sure some other guys will chime in and say they like their cutout too and then there will be the other ones who will say it is "too loud" but hey im 18 and there is not such thing as too loud for me!!!!!!!!!!

Another vote for the cutout. Noticable harder pull on top end.. And the sound is awsome.. Very deep and sounds good all through the power band. Now if your looking for more of a high pitched "scream" from an exhaust then a cutout is not going to give u what u want but, i love the sound and the price is not to be beat , and hey if you dont like it, cap it.
