Ummm you need more than lifters, you need springs and you don't have to get Roller Rockers but i suggest it!

Also IMHO mean's "In my Honest Opinion"

lol

Go to www.cmotorsports.com they have everything you need!

Might be worth a little reseach to make sure the cam you select is designed to provide the power in the rpm range you want. Contact the cam manufacturer tech. line and make sure what you are buying matches what you want in performance. Also, it is critical to use the proper springs, retainers, keepers and rockers to get the maximum performance and reliabilty. Add up the cost of all components required to compare choices.
GM offers the Hot cam kit cam, rockers, springs, retainers, keepers for about $500. Thats a pretty good deal if you are looking for moderate hp. gain and want to maintain decent driveability. Also suggest a PCMFORLESS tune to match the cam, Brian did a great job for me. Hope you find the right cam for your application. Good luck with your project...do the research first, you will be glad you did.

If you have an automatic and get a cam I'd recomend getting a stall converter as well. By asking for opinions on a cam, you're going to get a lot of different answers from conservative people who say HOTCAM to the more radical (but still streetable) CC306 and XE 224/230. Use the search button to research the different cams out there and only you should in the end decide what cam you want for your situation.

Do a search man. There's TONS of threads about this cam, that cam, and the other. And if you're looking for some serious power for cheap, just do a search for Lloyd Elliot, his head & cam packages are the best peformance deals ever IMO.

Cam, Lifters, Seals, Springs, Locks, Retainers, Plugs, Wires, New or modified Valve Covers, Rocker Arms, pushrods, Headers, All gaskets, a good tune... all and more are required to do it right.

Take my advice, do a good amount of research before you settle on just a "camshaft"... you'll thank yourself later when you get what you want out of it.
