Shoebox has a diagram with the parts identified.

Ive seen the diagram, it was just a little confusing with it all separated into pieces.

So basically if i go into advance auto parts it should just be called a heater hose?

Re: What hose is this?!

They are all part of the heater hose assembly. It is doubtful that you will find any of the individual hoses anywhere other than the dealer. They also sell the complete, two hose assembly (it's a little difficult to replace). To replace individual hoses, you need to do something like this. If you get a leak in one hose, the others will probably not be far behind, due to their age. Replacing the whole assy is good preventive maintenance.

Re: What hose is this?!

a few years ago i had to replace that entire two hose assembly when replacing my heater core, it was a bit of a pain. i searched high and low and could only find that part from a dealer. it was NOT cheap, if i remember correctly it was about 200 bucks. the assembly consisted of two hoses that went from the water pump to the heater core.

Re: What hose is this?!

Well the issue wasnt a leak due to the hose being old. The hose clamp on the radiator hose next to it was pushing through it. (had the clamp facing the wrong way) and it created a hole in the end of the hose. I just cut it back a little bit and it seems to be holding fine now. But now i got a pretty bad misfire. My guess is water got into the distributor since when i plug the vacuum line that goes from the intake pipe, the car idles fine, but as soon as u move ur finger from the vacuum is starts misfiring. Any ideas on how to fix this before it takes my brand new opti i just replaced? I was thinking pulling the vent hoses off and maybe it would dry out?

If you are in Spring Hill NC, that is not too far from these guys. They have (or at least used to) have the individual hoses. I bought a couple of sections from them a couple of years ago. Great autoparts store with hard to find stuff. http://www.looproadauto.com

so i pulled off the vent hoses from the optispark and water just poored out. What can i do besides take it apart to let it dry out? think i would have any luck just letting it air dry with the vent tubes off? Im in florida so its pretty hot lol.

Re: What hose is this?!

It might dry out, but the electronics could also be fried. How in the heck did that much water get inside?

Re: What hose is this?!

The heater hose that i circled above was leaking right on top of the distributor and i had no choice but to drive the car to get it home from work. The car is running fine now. Its idling perfect, no misfires. I just pulled the vent hoses off and blew through the hoses and it cleared a lot of it out. But now i still have a water leak from the water pump gasket i have to fix now.
