There is a hose connected to the intake elbow on the top with a little blue connector. i bought a trick flow intake elbow and it does not have a place to connect it to. when i try to run the car with it plugged the car will die so it needs to be hooked up or something. any insight into this would be super cool.

that is known as the optispark vacuum harness..
you need to have it hooked up.
