I have a big stroker motor sitting in the garage but still have stuff to buy so I'm just going to put something together for now. 355, ported heads and a hot cam. I'm going to go with .026 head gaskets to raise compression to 11:1. Just wondering what I should expect so I'm not dissapointed. Is 370rwhp out of my range with ported heads and slightly raised compression?

 

I think you would have to have more specifics on the total combination before someone could make an educated quess. But offhand I would have to say no.

 

alot of people are making 400+rwhp with that kind of stock shortblock setup and a little more aggressive cam. i dont think 370 is out of the question.

 

Got a friend with a 355, p&p heads and a 306 cam making right at 400rwhp. Lots of other bolt-ons though. No cat and long tubes
