What are good window motors?

Anyone have any bad expierences with after market window motors? Any brands better than others?

Also does anyone know what wires to cross to test to see if it is the switch that is messed up? I tried using the passenger side switch but you cant plug it in.

i got my driver side window motor from autozone for $50 with a life time warranty and has worked great and easy to install. (thanks to the almighty shoebox!)

I dont mean to thread highjack but Rob could you come up with a way off the top of your head to be able to disable the movement of the power windows with the flip of switch? Maybe killing the 12V source somehow...Ive been getting harrassed lately by the cops b/c of my window tint.

I have both window motors replaced with the autozone ones. They still roll up slow but they work. I have heard that ford window motors work in our cars too and they roll up a hell of alot faster. But I never looked into it cuz personally, I don't need any ford parts in my f-body.

Why don't you put a toggle switch between the breaker and the 12v source?
