I find that odd that GM Performance website does not show such a part exists. GMPARTSDIRECT does not show it and Jegs does not show it either????? Google doesn't even bring anything up?????

OK, here's my theory. When GM makes changes to a part they change the part number to recognize the new part. I've been told that Crane was the original grinder of the GM aftermarket camshafts. Crane goes out of business and GM gets a new camshaft supplier, hense the new part number.

Logical, seperate new from old. Still doesn't explain why nothing comes up on it like Speedy said. Unless GM only selling to summit, not very likely.

so i talked to summit today and they said its the same part with a new part number. i went back to check on gmperformanceparts.com and the cam is still with the same part number (12370846). but anyway, it could be just a 'SUMMIT' part number to seperate it from the old one due to increase in price or something !
