Re: What gas?

run 91 or higher due to your compression ratio.

you can run 87 octane as others have done it. although you will experience knock retard due to the lower octane levels.

Re: What gas?

I ran 87 for about a month, then switched to 93 and experienced a huge change it power, response and just overall. Running regular won't do anything to your car, just isn't recommended. Also, try and search next time, i think they're a thread on this with like over a hundred replies or something.

Re: What gas?

I'm not sure what the last owner was putting in it, but I put in 87 for the first few times I filled it up.......just switched over to 93 (right in line with the increase in prices, lucky me) and I'm happy with the results. It'll be 93 from here on out.

Re: What gas?

Read your owners manual, it says to use 91 octane or greater "for best performance."

Re: What gas?

the lower the octane you run, the easier you probably need to drive it. some bad low octane gases can cause so much knock that you'll get ping regardless of the retard under high load/low rpm's especially. but, you should be able to run 87 with no problems with an easy foot, which will also force you to get better mileage.
