I just ordered the LT4 Hot cam kit and I already have hooker longtubes waiting to be installed. The rest of my mods are in my sig.

What can I expect my ETs to be after these mods?

Also what kind of rwhp and rwtq can I expect?

I was thinking around 12.30-12.50 ETs at 110mph and 330rwhp/340rwtq.

 

110 sounds about right... but i think your et's are decently optimistic...

 

YIKES! .8 with the hot cam kit? To gain that much I think you'll have to put on some N2O.....I gained 34 HP with my hot cam kit....no ETs though...You'll prolly gain 4 tenths......

 

I think your numbers are pretty decent right there. I also think ur times could be a lot better with the mods u have. With what ur running now, u should be low 13s. Throw a set of nittos on the back for ur runs and im confident u'll be hitting high 12s

 

hes already got ET streets, I'm just wondering why hes not pulling better than 1.86 short time...are you hooking up OK at the track?

I wouldn't say the ET's are optomistic, in fact with good tuning and a good hook you could be in the 11's. Only question I have is how come your only running 99mph with your mods? Most LT1's can run that or slightly better bone stock...? Might want to look into what that is all about.

 

That ET and 60' time were in late Oct. and it was about 45 degrees so I was spining a little. I had also just gotten my trans. problems sorted out, I had a failing opti, and my buddy didn't have enough time to mess with the computer. My friend that does the tunning on my car will have enough time to tune my car before I go to the track next. Hopefully I'll have enough cash to take my car to the dyno so we can really get the car tuned in right. So hope fully the car will run alot stronger after these mods.

 

Darren's car is not a factory freak. Stock his car struggled to go 14.0's and would only trap around 98mph. Most runs were in the 14.20-14.30 range. Must have been built on a friday or something.
So it has picked up fairly well with what he's done so far. Should have a 13.3 in it with a better 60ft.
I'm pretty confident that after the longtubes, hotcam, and 1.6 rockers the car should trap between 105-107mph and could go 12.70 with a decent 60ft.
Plus the program in it is pretty conservative.
Darren, get the cam and headers on the car and we'll tune it on the dyno and you'll be happy. Trust me.
