Question What fuel pump to buy.

My fuel pump is crapping out on me and I'm looking for a good aftermarket one. Does anyone know which one I should get? And also does anyone know of a good install page on how to replace it because I've never done it before? Thanks a lot.

Walbro makes a good one.
I just bought a Granatelli 255 LPH pump brand new for 100 bucks from a local guy who did not need it.
Check around and do a search on here and there are some install guides that will show you how to cut a hole and install it from the top without removing the tank.
If you don,t want to cut up your car then you will have to pull the gas tank which involves dropping the rear end and exhaust.

Yeah after I posted I finally found an install guide on Brent's site. I'll look around for the one you're talking about though. I'll check out Walbro and Granatelli. You think there's ever any on sale on ebay? I'll check there too. Thanks a lot.

I just checked on thunderracing.com and they have Holley and Racetronix fuel pumps. How is the Holley? And is the Racetronix one 255lph?

Would you reccomend Walbro/GMS over Holley? Or are they all pretty much the same and I should just get whatever is cheaper?

Yes that is the easiest way to do it in my opinion.
I am going to do it that way when I replace mine.
you just have to make a cover out of some aluminum sheet or something.

I was reading just reading this thread and now I'm having second thoughts about cutting through from the top: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...threadid=30472

There are a lot of valid arguments against doing it this way.
