i am looking at getting a 355 SBC. It comes with a turbo 400. I know that i would have to get different motor mounts, where do you get them? would i need anything else, like a different tranny crossmember? If you have done this or are educated in this let me knwo the odds and ends of it.

How do you plan to use the car - street or track? Will you be keeping the fuel injection? Are you prepared to rev the pi$$ out of your engine with no overdrive in the tranny? Do you realize without the Opti, your current PCM will not work and the fuel system will not function? Are you prepared to remove the windshield wipers so the rear-mount distributor will clear the cowl (or use a panckake distributor)? Do you realize you will need to modify the tranny cross-member, and get a torque arm that connects to the chassis? Gonna need a different length driveshaft. If you try and keep the PCM functional, you will have to program out the 4L60E control functions, or see a lot ofyour SES light.
