What fails on the optispark when it gets wet? Is it the high voltage side, or teh optical part?

I think that it would be the high voltage side right? Cause the optical part is just looking through a hole in a wheel, right?

Just trying to debate if its worth spending money to take the high voltage out of the opti or not

I guess it depends on where the moisture gets in. I would bet most often it is the secondary ignition side that has problems. That's pretty much the rationale behind the LTCC conversion.

There are times when the moisture gets in through the electrical connector and that would lead it to the optical section, causing havoc with the electronics.
