What Engine Mods Next?
Hey Guys,
I'm conteplating doing more engine mods. I'm thinking of doing a cam, RRs, and heads next.
These are the bolt-ons I have so far.
At what point do I need to start looking at fuel injectors, TB and ignition. Should I upgrade those before the cam, RRs and Heads? Or just wait until later?
Thanks in advance!
Ernie

- Hooker Shorty Headers
- Hooker Catback
- LT4 Knock Module
- ASP Pulley
- SLP CAI
- TB Bypass
- 8mm Taylor Wires
- HyperTech Programing
- 160 deg Thermostat

Hey Ernie,
If your just doing a cam and valvetrain i wouldnt worry about injectors for a while. If your doing something radical or head work then i would get larger ones. TBs are contriversal and usually something you buy more towards the end when you are just upgrading ever last little bit.

Thanks for the information! Sounds like I can put that money towards the cam and RRs then!

Yea...I'd hold off on the TB and injectors. Vavle Train upgrade would be nice. I'd just do springs and rockers and see what you can get out of the car before you leave the bolt-on world. But, what can I say...I've got a cam sittin' in the garage. I just keep telling myself, there's a few tenths left in her, keep pushing it.
Some gears would be nice too.
And, as for the question of the LT4 KM...if you get one cheap, cool. But, get yourself a stock knock SENSOR, wrap it up in foam, cotton, anything thick and zip tie it up by the Kmember, and ground it. Then, unplug your knock sensor from the block (DO NOT REMOVE IT) and plug into the new sensor. Nothing like full timing! And it's cheap and easy too!
