What else is needed for Heads/Cam swap?

OK
I want to have all the parts ready for my upcoming LE2 project.
What other parts do I need to do the swap?

I already have 52mm TB, K&N intake, 4" Mufflex, and 1 3/4 Hooker LT's ready to go. What else do I need, or what else would help my power output?

Electric Water Pump
36lb Injectors
1.6 RR (NSA or not?)
Do i need different pushrods?
Whats the best timing chain option? or should I get a timing gear?
Can or should i buy a two peice timing chain cover?
What Head gaskets should I get (Thinner=Better?)
What temp spark plugs should I go with?

I cant think of anything else, but maybe you can..

Thanks for any help

Since you're picking up an electric water pump, go with a cloyes double roller setup.

Pushrods, I'd recommend a set of comp chromoly pushrods.

Comp 1.6 RR NSA w/ guideplates.

I'm not aware of any two piece timing covers for our cars (not a standard 350 cover due to the opti).

Go with the Mr. Gasket .026 gaskets if your block is untouched.

Check with Lloyd, he recommended a certain NGK plug to me.

Maybe it's obvious, but a tune.

Re: What else is needed for Heads/Cam swap?

I would also buy ARP head bolts (for a SBC and torque them to ARPs specs), ARP sealant for the threads of the head bolts, and the ARP thread cleaner for the headbolt threads in the block.

For the head gasket I would just buy the felpro peice, its slightly thinner than stock and very sturdy.

If you have guide plates on the heads new hardened pushrods are a must. I like the trickflow 1 peice CM pushrods. they are less than 90$.
Definately get the Comp pro mag steel rockers , very nice. Again if yo have guidepltes get Non self aligning, if no guideplates get the self aligning ones.

The 2 peice cover for aN lt1 is non existant. If you have the cash get the Extreme duty timing set, if not get a FULL new stock set (chain and both gears new). If you go with an elec water pump buy a roller chain for a SBC with factory Hyd roller cam.

I would try the stock heat range and go from there , you might need a 1 step colder , but you may be ok.

Tune is a must as well.

In agreement with Javier.
