crane cam and spring kit questions
im going with the baby cam from crane 210 int./224 exh. and 1.6 rrs.
will this crane spring kit work, and is this everything i need? If not what springs do I need, and what im i missing?
Product Line: Crane Valve Spring and Retainer Kits
Number of Springs Per Valve: Dual
Outside Diameter of Outer Spring (in): 1.460
Damper Spring Included: No
Spring Rate (lbs/in): 408
Inside Diameter of Outer Spring (in): 1.075
Inside Diameter of Inner Spring (in): 0.803
Valve Spring Style: Standard
Coated: No
Retainers Included: Yes
Retainer Material: Steel
Locks Included: Yes
Lock Style: 7 degree
Lock Groove Quantity: 1-groove
Lock Material: Steel
Quantity: Sold as a kit
And also if im dynoing 267rwhp now, how much do you think i'll be dynoing after cam/rr install. I have heard around 315rwhp; will I gain that much from just a cam and rrs.
thanks for the help.

Re: crane cam and spring kit questions
If those are the 99893 springs, they are what is recommended by
Crane on the cam card. I'm not sure what the part number for the
kit is, but I believe others have stated that the shims in the kit
are crap. If I remember correctly, the L98 shims (spring seats)
are the ticket for the 99893s. Last I checked the L98 spring seats
were $1.49 from GM.
I suggest a search to get more info.

Re: crane cam and spring kit questions
The 10308-1 kit is everything you need, and I could sell you mine if you would be interested. They were installed on my new heads when I got them and have never been ran. I'm replacing them with the Comp Cams 26918s. I have a pic if you are interested.

fine with the 1.6 rockers and the 227 cam. Just do a little research about
the shims in the 10308-1 kit as I mentioned before.
