cmotorsports will sell you everything you need
a whole cam kit-rockers,springs,cam,etc

1. HIGHLY recommended to upgrade timing sets
2. upgrade lifters if you can afford them.
(i have a brand new set of COMP R lifters for sale $200 shipped)
3. gasket set
4. if you have a 96-97 you should be some hardened pushrods only $37, or some real nice chromeoly ones for $120 or so.
5. computer tune, madwolf/pcmforless does well. or better yet a dyno tune
6. if you have a A4 u need a stall/gears

hope this helps

yea thanks guys hits helps me somewhat. Right now i really just need to know what i need to install with the cam to not make the motor go outta whack. So springs and retainers should do the trick? or am i still needing guideplates and pushrods? RR's and lifters will be a coupleof months or so after the swap.

By the way this si going into a 99 s10 auto with 4.11 gears and a zexel. i will be putting in a 3000 stall, rr's and lifters within 4 months of the swap finish date. Hell i may even do the whole thin except for the stall? How much will all that cost me if i go with the cam, rr's, springs retainers, and lifters? One more question. What all does the HOTCAM kit include and what kind of gains will that give me in comparision to this cam i am wanting to go with.

Skip the lifters...you don't need um. If your asking what you "NEED", I would go with QCKZ and have to say....the necessary gaskets, pushrods, springs and retainers....a tune, and a TC set, that's it. Just built my stroker and the only thing stock on there is the block and the lifters (unless your going huge).

cam kit-rr,springs,cam for the xe230/236 probably around $600-700 (im guessing) a little more than the hot cam kit.

i recommend a 2800 stall for that cam with a daily driver, my 2800 feels like stock almost, it tries to roll forward at stoplights in gear, when i brake torque it, the tires start to spin at 2000rpm.
Vigilante is the best. IMO

I think their kits are about 600,
but just wait to do it all at once, maybe something better will come along by then, besides, you dont have to tear into the motor twice, and you have less of a chance of breaking something

will that 600-700 bucks include the RR's? I wont be doing rr's for a couple months. There is a reason for this since i want to see what each mod will dyno. I have access to a free dyno so i just want to do it for ****s and giggles. How much would a stall run me by the way. just need to get my fund straightened.
