I am getting parts together to install le2 heads and cam and am wondering if I need to upgrade anything else while I'm at it. Here is what I have planned:

Heads, cam, comp rrs, pushrods, ported intake, 58 mm TB, 42# green top injectors, PCM tune, timing chain, maybe electric water pump.

Do I need new lifters?

Am I missing anything else? Thanks for the help.

May be a good time to check your opti while everything's off.

I'd go ahead and get lifters if you have the cash. I went with ls7's

Other than that I think you pretty much have it covered.

If your auto you may want to look into a stall for your next mod.

 

The opti was replaced right before I put the car in storage, so it is practically brand new. Also it is an M6.

The heads were used, approx 5,000 miles, and the guy I bought them from sold the patriot gold springs and replaced them with brand new PAC 1218s. Are these springs good enough for the le2 heads or should I replace them?

 

Are those lifters part number 17122490?

 

I'm not familiar with those springs. Hopefully someone with experience with them will chime in.

My lifters were part number 809-12499225 on jegs.

 

Any other thoughts on the springs?
