What does everybody think about the SLP CAI?

I would like to know what everybody thought about the SLP CAI. I am thinking about buying one for my 1994 Formula. Is there a good sotp performance gain with it installled and has abybody dynoed their car before and after with it. Also, has anybody track tested their car with it installed? Does anybody know how much power GM Hightech Performance Mag got on the dyno with the SLP CAI installed on their project car "The Grape of Wrath"?
Thanks everybod, please reply

I think the general consensus is that KN FIPK, SLP CAI, Moroso CAI and Lingenfelter CAI basically give you all the same gain. It's all a matter of looks.

I have an SLP. Looks good, works good. If it wasnt rediculously overpriced I'd go for the GMPP CAI which is the same thing but polished and $100 more than SLP's.

My sis has it on her Z, and I like it, looks good, great construction, and no hoses to get bent a la AS&M. All metal construction. It's what's going on the LT4 363CI. Also, i did notice a drop in intake air temp over the stock plastic crap.

it looks nice but i would probably go for a cheaper plastic one, less heat soak.

I have one. I like it. Dont have dyno #s though. I tried a Moroso & K&N 1st, neither fit around my brake lines, the SLP was the only one that did.

I'm happy with mine. I noticed a slight improvement up top. I don't think there is any difference in power between most of the CAI's but i liked the looks of this one the best thats why i chose it. I don't have any before and after dyno #'s with it but i do have dyno #'s with the mods in my sig and i don't really have any other power gaining mods besides the catback. So you can see sort of have an idea of how much improvement it made from most stock #'s.

I have the K&N in my car, but it came with the car. If I had the choice I would get the SLP or AS&M. both look alot nicer and are easier to get the filter in/out.

I love my SLP CAI, people, there is no "heat soak" on the metal CAI! At any given time I can get out of my car, pop the hood and put my hand on my CAI and feel nothing but coldness!! The CAI isn't near anything that gets hot so don't worry about "heat soak"

SLP CAI

I have it and also love mine. IMO it definitely looks better than all the plastic ones out there. As for gains, didn't notice anything in the low end, but felt a slight difference in the mid to high. I also like the dual cone feature vs. the single large filter that comes w/ the K&N, Moroso, etc. Go for it!
