I'd like mid 12's on stock heads too. I doubt a CC305 would be enough. Maybe high 12's. Maybe I'm wrong though.

TTT for ya.

I'd say if you added just the cam youd be mid to low 13s. Do the whole top end and low 13s maybe high 12s.

yea, i'm going to rebuild the motor and get all the supporting valvetrain parts now and then get ported heads next summer with an ultimate goal of low 12's n/a and deep into the 11's on the juice

I would say mid 12s would be very easy provided you can 60ft. good enough. With the mods in my sig. I ran a 12.94 and that was with hitting the brakes at the end trying not to break out. Easily would have been a 12.8x if I would have stayed into it. Now consider this is on a hotcam which is a simular yet smaller cam...and my 60ft. was a 2.0. If I 60ft a 1.8 that 12.8 would have been more like a 12.55 +/- .05 probably. Also I still could get pulleys and electic WP. So to some it up, I think with all the bolt ons and a cc305 you could very easily run mid 12s...with traction.

I think mid 12's would be very possible with the 305 cam. With the right supporting mods, traction and a good driver I think the goal would be very attainable.

hmm, yea, now i'm not sure if i want to fork out 400 for a custom cam, i guess i just don't wish i would have gone with a bigger cam after spending all this money on a rebuild, what are the specs on the 305 anyway?

Ive seen some people on here trap 110 mph with that cam and stock heads so you SHOULD be able to get into the 12 sec. range. What really matters IMO is your driving skills.

I had a CC305 in my '97 on stock heads. I ran a best of 12.6 @ 111.5. I ran a 12.4 @ 111 with the GM847 cam on stock heads. Mid 12s are very attainable with the CC305 on stock heads.
