What do you think about a G2 intake with a HUGE K&N?

I have the G2 and I know it sucks, but I got it off a guy for very cheap. The problem I see is that the outlet of the G2 is like 4 inches but it uses the stock airbox so it goes down to 3inch or so. Well, what if I threw on a huge K&N on the end of it, would it be worth the 50 bucks of this filter ( http://store.summitracing.com/partde...NN%2DRE%2D0870 )? Otherwise I will have to drop like 125 on a decent cold air.

Mod's are in the sig, do any of you even think that doing anything at all is worth it, I mean, how much could I be leaving on the table with this setup?

go to autozone or an auto parts place like that, open the K&N boxes and decide which one fits best. thats what we did with the homemade CAI on my friend Durango. just matched up the filter with the ducting we used.
