When I was shopping around for headers I heard nothing but bad things about the uncoated ones, about fit primarily. I haven't had any personal experience with them though so hopefully someone who has them or had them will chime in.

BBK doesnt make ceramic headers AKAIK. So unless they were coated elsewhere, they're probably chrome. Their shorties are a waste of cash. For 130 its better then nothing, but i'd save my money. You MAY see 10 hp.

my car made 348 rwhp with bbk shorties. people who think you can't make power with them should get a clue.

they're easier to install than LT's...

Re: What do you think about BBK cermaic caoted headers??

I thought the BBK headers were chrome - not ceramic coated. Anyway, I helped one of my friends install a set in his 1994 Z28. I thought they fit well - no problems with the Y-pipe either. All in all, not bad at all.

Re: What do you think about BBK cermaic caoted headers??

Texas Tech, I have a set of ceramic BBK's on my Z. I did not install them, but the guy who did said they fit together really nicely. I've been happy with them so far and I've had them about 5 months. As far as hp gain, It felt like it gave mine about 15-20 hp roughly, haven't run at the track so I can't tell exactly, but definitely was a difference. For that price you said that's a great deal I don't think you will be dissapointed just be sure to put you some high heat plug wires in or else they will fry them otherwise.

yea I think i will liek them as well. They have the 3/8 inch flange which is good and ceramic coating for hi temps. also do I need 02 extensions? Also what gaskets should i use?

Your credibilty is blown with your opening statement! The fastest bolt on LT 1 in GMHPP shoot out went to a car with shorties! They are easier to install, dont drag on speed bumps, a lot cheaper with out the added exhaust work and will produce as much horsepower. A set of long tubes, free flow cats and full cat back only produced 14 hp on the dyno.

I'm pretty sure the guy who installed mine didn't use o2 extensions, and I just used the gaskets that came with the kit. If the ones your buying don't come with gaskets, i'm not sure which would be best. Maybe check with summit.
