Smile What do you prefer using when doing exhaust work?

Do you use exhaust clamps or do you weld weld/mig everything up?

mine only needed it in one place (over rear end), but I had a normal exhaust clamp on and it fell off after about a month. So I got a band clamp, which is like a strip of really flexible sheet metal w/ bolts to tighten it. I used that and the suckers been solid for about 6 months now

So we have 1 vote for clamps and one for welds.

my headers/ORP/borla catback/electic adjustable borla plate are are bolted on no welds. there is no leaks. i love being able to work on the car without having to cut through the exhaust welds

Clamps are nice if you take the exhaust off alot.
Welds are the way to go for no leaks and longevity.
I am having my true duals welded up but the cool thing about it is I just have to unbolt it at the collectors and undo the hangers and the whole thing will drop out.
Best of both worlds.
