I see advertised claims for 15-20HP gains with computers chips in magazine advertisements and such like that all the time. Given that from the factory the car is tuned for longevity and fuel economy etc. maybe these claims aren't too far fetched for a bone stock vehicle. If you have a modified vehicle you're going to want to get custom tuning anyways in which case something like that is just dumb imo.

I think they are using ricer addition in all these computer chip ads though. And is anyone else getting tired of EVERY DIY mod advertisement claimisn 10-20HP gains and saying "Unlock your cars potential!" So tired of rice logic in advertising!
