What do you all think about this for a setup.
http://cgi.ebay.com/SBC-LT1-383-EAGL...em230061756884

This is what I was thinking.

These internals
Cleaned used 2bolt main shortblock cleaned up, and balanced by engine lab or another company (PLEASE RECOMMEND TO ME).
LE1 or LE2 heads/cam setup w/ 1.6 RR.
I would imagine a safe and affordable 400ish HP.

What do you all think.

Explanantion: I have an extended warranty, and my bottom end is rattling a bit. I am gonna try to get this all done if I get a longblock. I will disassemble it and take it to an engine facility to get cleaned, and inspected.

If anyone has an better suggestions for a kit like that for the prices, please let me know.

Thanks,

Tim

The parts are of no higher quality, and maybe of lesser quality of stock parts. But they are servicable in a low end application and the price is decent.

Eagle forged pistons. Are you sure they are no better quality?

You should be fine with that kit I think. I run a 355 so I have a stock crank, but I use Eagle H-beams and Ross pistons without a problem and I'm at the level you want to be. I would use King bearings though perosnally.

They are SRP pistons. I use them in my race car, they are good pistons as are the stockers (made by Mahle).
