Injuneer So.... are you saying that 16 months after your original post, you still haven't done anything?
Also never noticed in your earlier posts what kind of trans you are putting this power through.... you need to tell us, or we can't tell you what kind of flywheel HP you need to make 500rwHP. It's going to be a lot different depending on whether you are running an M6 with 12.6% loss (572 flywheel required) or a loose converter eating up 22.5% of the power (645 flywheel required). Are you planning to keep the M6?

And yea, I'm sticking with the m6. I don't think autos are any fun for street use. And thats what I'll mainly be using it for. Although I'm not even going to drive it that much on the street. I live 1/2 from work and school, and I usually ride my bike or walk anyway because of the traffic. I would say this car will see ~5,000 miles yearly.

To do a 383 right you will have at least 1000.00 in machine work on the block.A forged assy will run about 2500.00,gaskets will be 200.00 cam and lifters will be 800.00 springs and retainers about 500.00. By the time you get all the parts you will have in excess of 8000.00 and it ain't running yet. Don't know if your heads will support that kind of HP or the intake or TB.Headers????
It ain't cheep and 5000.00 now a days might buy you a junk yard motor but thats it.
What good is it to put a 5000.00 500HP motor together and have it be a K-Mart- Come Apart and have to spend twice that much to get it running again. DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME
Only cost a quarter more to go first class.........
