What do I need?

I am going to be changing my opti here pretty soon and I was thinking about it and I think im going to go ahead and do the LT4 Hot Cam Kit becuase you have to take out quite a bit to get to the opti from what I understand. I needed to know other than the springs, rockers, retainer, and of course the cam, what else will I need for the install other than gaskets and such? I think I will need a new timing chain also but do I need hardened pushrods and new lifters? Any imput would be great thanks.

hows it going man? i just did a heads/cam upgrade on my car. with the things ur talking about ur on the right track. A new timing chain would be a very good idea as mine with only 50k on it was a little loose and was replaced. From my stand point, there could be no end to what u could change out for better stuff. I would suggest nice pushrods, and lifters. Your prob gonna be revving it higher than before so these things can fail on you. New pushrods should run u around 90.00-100.00 and lifters around 250 if u go with the comp cams "r" lifters. Make sure u get gaskets for the water pump, timing cover gasket, oil pan gasket if u tear it up, little o-ring for the water pump gear, etc etc. PM me if u got any more questions, good luck
