I took a piston out and it measure's 3" 15/16 across. The bearings were clevite 77's. They looked wore pretty bad to me. I'll post some more pics when I get them up loaded. I apreciate all y'alls help.

Yea true, didn't think about that. I just looked at the picture again, doesn't it look like it was notched? Looks like some metal was moved to clear the counterweight. Check it out...unless thats how the stock block is cast, i forget what mine looked like.

What measured 3 15/16? A stock piston is 4.000. IN order to get 383 it would have to be 0.030 over for a total of 4.030. To me it looks like stock pistons and no relief for the longer throw crank so it leads me to believe it is actually a 4.000 bore and stock 3.480 throw for a standard 350 CI. engine.

What were your throw measurements? Inquiring minds want to know.

I just tore down a bone stock 96 lt1 today. The pistons have the same 19/12 number on top,the rods are stock pm rods.Your crank looks much more machined on the counterweights than any of the cast lt1 cranks i have,it may have been replaced with a different crank,but i'm sure the pistons & rods are stock.
