What do I do know???

recently I had problems with my car not starting. to make a long story short..."Turn key nothing but clicks and whisles." I replaced my starter with a new LT-4 one... and earlier today I replaced the ignition switch as reccomended. I dropped the dash... no big thing. Pulled the Ignition switch out but so nothing wrong with it... and the connecters looked good too. So I went ahead and swapped in the new Ignition switch...I didn't have new connetors ... so I pulled each wire out individually and crimped them a bit to ensure a good fit on the Switch... some of them didn't catch on well to the ign prongs... Ok so I put it all back to gether and starteed the car up.... NOTHING! same issue.. a my Jaw dropped... and my forhead wrinkled... (like this guy ---> ) so I looked under the dash and made sure all was in tight... I tucked on the Clutch switch Wires... (if that's what you call the black thing the clutch pushes into) ... and proceeded to try again after everything looked fine... I keep turning the ignition and consistanly do so... then all of a sudden Pttttttt Broooaaaaammm!!!! the cur roars to life... SO I turn the car of... and do this over and over again for about 3 times... comes on every time... I let the car sit for 45 minute periods and turn the car on... starts everytime... but here's the issue... It doesn't seem the orignal problem is gone... When I turn the Key the car takes a good 3seconds (exactly) ..before you hear the starter activate.... almost like it's not going to come on... just as before... and it's not a healthy start... you hear stuttering for a second then roar... So far the car did this everytime I started it after changing out everything. So she went form not working... to working wierdly... just what in the heck is going on now? what would cause a 3 second delay like that. for 3 goos seconds you get no response from the ignition then walla... THis by far is the most annoying problem yet. Hopelfully some of the other guys out there in the same boat can benifit off of this post too...

So... what now...???

Are your battery connections clean and tightened properly?
