I have kept track of most all my mods on the dyno.

Here's my last run before the rockers:

Dyno 1

Here's after the rocker install:

Dyno 2

You can't feel the seat of the pants difference. But I have gained 3 mph trap speed. Overall a 7 rwhp gain and 2-3 lb. ft. of torque. $50 for each hp. Woohoo!

Thanks a ton for the Dyno charts guys!

Compstall,
Those are some VERY healthy dyno numbers before the 1.6's went in. Looks just like my dyno curve. I have CAI, catback and headers, but running rich and have a cat in the system. What mods did you have for that dyno run before the RR's? You don't have headers yet do you? Thanks.

Before the roller rockers were installed:

March pullies
Granatelli MAF
Lingenfelter CAI
Borla y-pipe
off-road pipe
Flowmaster cat-back

That's it for the power mod dept. My car tends to run rich as well, always has and is very noticable at high rpm under WOT.

Hehe, I remember when I first bought the car in '00 and all I had was the CAI and flowmaster cat-back and pulled 283/320 at the wheels my first time on the dyno. The guys in the club I had just joined thought I might have something up my sleeve and were digging around in the engine bay looking for something..

I think I got one of those "factory ringers"

Nope, ain't got no headers yet. Still running through them nasty old manifolds.

Why even consider 1.6's when 1.8's are now available?

1.8's? I'm sure you would need different pushrods for sure to make those work. He did mention doing a cam soon, that may be why he is going with 1.6RR.

I don't want to put that much stress on the valvetrain, like 1.8's can do. I imagine that the 1.8's will be awefully noisy too.

I'll get my lift from the cam, not the rockers.
