what did i break?

what is it ? and is it safe to drive with it broken?

uhm, that is the egr system.........its safe to drive I think......
But you will be blowing hot exhaust gasses around your engine bay like that

you might want to unscrew the tube in the manifold and put a plug in it before you drive it. Its going to be putting out hot exaust

Nope, it is the AIR system.

You will have a big exhaust leak with that broken. I would not drive it that way.

just plug up that hole in the manifold and you will be fine

I paid $18 for the piece you broke. I also bought the check valve (black piece) for $16 more just because it was old and it rattled which i believed to be my exhaust leak which went away.

i am probably gonna get my headers put in and just ditch the manifolds.

That's for your AIR system. Plug it on the manifold or else it will blow out exhaust. Don't drive it like that.

I dont want to give bad advise but "if you need to drive" just fold the tube over with vicegrips and crimp it really good. short term so i dont get flogged
