What could cause

An intermintent very loud rattle after a clutch install? It's coming from the tranny area, though I can't pinpoint it. Only about 1800-2500 rpm, speeding up, slowing down in gear, or in neutral, and not all the time. The clutch is a street twin, only about 550 miles now. I was thinking that a plate could not have been aligned right, but wouldn't that make a racket all the time?

try this... let the car sit running at idle.. listen for the rattle! then push the clutch in.. if the noise goes away, then your fine cause this is normal!

It's normal for a rattling to be so bad that you can feel it in the floor?

Ok, I just tried that, and yes I have the "standard" rattle. This other rattle I have is 10X as bad. You can hear it, feel it, whatever. It's at 2000+ RPM where the exhaust starts to resonate I think. come on, someone has to have some idea.
