What is the compression ratio a stock z-28 comes with?

 

I seem to recall that its 10.5:1 . I may be off though.

its actually 10.3:1 but close enogh to 10.5:1

 

some say 10.5:1, most say 10.4:1. Never heard 10.3:1 though.

 

I've only seen 10.4:1 in print.

 

i read it in the procharger stuff they sent me for the blower i am getting thats what i saw, dealership said 10.5:1 its all different i guess.

 

O no, another Z28 owner who's about to blow his engine....

 

I had my heads plained beacuse a piston went adn i think that would raise the compression......But i also had the cyl bored .030 over so wont that basically balance out the difference?

BTW what type of gas is the bare minimum that i can get away with?

 

I have always read 10.4 to 1.

 

a freind of mine told me that you can get a .026 head gasket from felpro.

 

10.5:1 is the correct ratio.

 

I read somewhere that the 94 was 10.5 but every other year LT1 was 10.4. That was just what i read and im not sure how accurate it is.
