what coil?
what coil?
having ignition problems, going to get a new coil. did a search, and find alot of people use the "msd blaster coil". is that the way to go? anyone know the part #for the one for an lt1? thanks
Re: what coil?
if your having ignition problems and want the best bet that will permenently fix the problem then i would look into the delteq system.
my car was haveing a low rpm stutter and a high rpm miss even after dozens of spark plug and wire changes and 3 optisparks, i got the opti-direct system and now the car runs better than it ever has. if i would have known about it i would have gone strait for the delteq because it saves money in the long run. i also got an increase in gas milage.
if your short on cash though i would just go with a stock replacment. it does the job fine as it is. if you wanna go fancy then i have heard good things about the msd

lol, the thing is, for you guys that live in the US, it only cost about what 600$?? for me, living in the great white north country of canada, after shipping, exchange, duty, brokerage fee's, and 14% canadian taxes on top of it, looks more around 1000$ to me. datsa lotta dough for a distributor

My question is; Did it make any difference at any RPM?
Re: what coil?
For a replacement coil, I got a $19 one from Discount Auto Parts a couple of years ago. Never had a single problem with it, works great.
I don't think a $50 or $60 mail order coil is necessary or of much benefit performance-wise.
