SPEC stage III kevlar is what a have and I LOVE it. I kick that damn clutches *** off the line slipping out at about 5500. I have about a season on it and it seems to be great so far, JMO ~~~rob

Another vote for Spec clutches... Though I went w/ a Stage 4.

~Pretty much the same as a Stage 3 just a solid hub - rather than sprung.

I think the SLP clutch will hold up to the abuse of 400 rwhp. If your plans in the future include more power than I would not mess around and make a big investment with a McLeod Street Twin.

Street Twin hands down. Will handle 400 RWHP easily and be smooths as butter on the street. Why not buy a clutch that you will never break????? I doubt the SLP clutch will hold 400 RWHP for long before it starts slipping. Especially taking 5500 dumps off of it. You will break it. All the SLP clutch is like a stock clutch with 15% more clamping force. IMHO

No way will that set-up handle that H.P. I had the LT4 PP / LT1 disc and after , 6-8 passes w / nittos it began to slip.... had 3:42's at the time , and mods. below

I think you need to specify what kind of "track time" it's going to see really. I mean, I try to always put things together with the assumption that it's going to be beaten on ruthlessly.. but how realistic is it that you'll be needing a clutch that can handle 1.6" 60's in a 3500+lb car?

I have the SLP lightweight PP and SPEC stage 3 carbon disk. It works really well. If the clutch was anymore grabby, I would question its streetablility. Its either engaged or not! Its mean!

I would think it would hold 400 RWHP. I called SPEC and they said the SLP PP is not as strong as thier PP. But works for me. I believe that most of the manufacturer's use the LT4 PP. But its cheaper this way. I got the PP from TByrne and the disk from SPEC, disk ran like $180-ish. The LT4 disk went south 4 months after I bought it, so I used the same PP with the SPEC disk and have no problems and I beat on it pretty bad also.

If you have the money and a drivetrain that can handle it I'd say definatly go with the Street Twin. But if your drivetrain is relatively stock and you want something that will grab hard and last go with a Spec Stage 3 Ceramic!

the SLP clutch will not hold 400rwhp. Mine didn't even hold 350rwhp for long.

Street Twin is the way to go.
