Ok my throttle body is a little dirty, what should i use to clean it? and how? i dont want any big particles to get sucked into one of my cylinders!!

 

Unbolt the throttle body and un hook the sensors, go buy some Carb Cleaner/ Throttle body cleaner and spray it down until clean

Go to Autozone and get Throttle Body or Carb cleaner......both do the job. Tale off the black tube that goes from your TB and then just spray the stuff. Have a towel underneath it to catch all the stuff that falls down....Also, have someone there to step on the gas so you can clean the inside.

 

seafoam's deep creep.

 

Don't use carb cleaner.

Fuel injected throttle bodies have an anti-carbon coating on them, and carb cleaner is caustic to that. Use recommended FUEL INJECTION or THROTTLE BODY cleaner.

 

I had good results using Seafoam's Deep Creep.

 

ok i went and bought some throttle body cleaner and just sprayed tons down the throttle body while cleaning it with a toothbrush, looks pretty clean now, but i think i flooded my engine cause it took the car like 30seconds to start when i tried starting it.... then when it did start RPM's shot to 2000, after about 10minutes of driving everything went back to normal, now Idle is back to 800.
