http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2445256991

Is it worth $25k? Its not a Lt4 version and from the searches Ive done the only thing I come up with is a mid $11K to a low $12K Here are the links

http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/kw.kc.u...Camaro&7;CH;D6

That from www.kbb.com (Keely Blue Book Value) The next two are from NADA. Now here is were the fuss comes.
Notice first that in the KBB value I do have the SS PKG on the options list and it gave me a value of $11,555. Now look at this one

Now didnt SLP take regular Z28s and make them SS right. Thats why I did it under regular Z28.
Now look at this one.

Notice I couldnt put any options for this which I assume that this is for the LT4 version. Am I right or wrong on this one.

I also did my Impala and I cant do any options which says all cars were the same off the line.
So all I would offer is book value... what about you. The guy says its worth $25K and thats the reserve and that Gm didnt make Lt4s
I like the car and would buy it but this guy oh my... I dont want to even start to tell what he says. On top of that its a T-top. And from the looks it looks like IT doesnt even have the SS spoiler.

Well KBB doesnt let the link loose so just find cars value by doing a 97 camaro z28 and when get to the options page just check mark SS pkg and the other options and get pricing.

it does have the LT1 ss spoiler. Yes SLP turned Z28's into SS's and the book value for a Z28 wont be a valid arguing point for the SS. the guy want's $25k? well i can kind of see it,seeing how the car has such low miles, some collector will be willing to buy it for that price.

In reality i would say $20k would be about max for it if i were shopping.

Also dealers hardly use books any more, they came up with "fair market value" and only use the books as a reference. Also we cant check the KBB price,it doesnt allow bookmarked links, and the NADA link wont load.

it does look to be a true 30th SS...stripping, interior, and it does have the SS spoiler(it changed a little in 98) if 5637 miles on that is the true milage, and it seems to be by the pictures of the cluster, then I would say it would be worth quite a bit, but 25k? That would be a little high. I wouldn't by it for that much.

Well Nada was working now it aint. Well KBB had a value of $11,555 Nada had $12000 for a regular Z with options and under the SS version it went $15k to 20K high value and you couldnt do options.

I dont see anyone buying it for that price when LT4 versions are going for that price with the same mileage. Come now lets be real.

No, no, and NO! I bought my REAL LT4 Firehawk for $24K with 6K miles on it, and it's rarer than an LT4 SS (29 LT4 Firehawks, ~100 LT4 SSs).

i emailed the guy that owns that car he will take $20,000 his reserve may be less. IMO The car better be cherry for that much you can get LS1 SS's with low miles for a little over 20k and you know which one would win that race.

Unless it's got some serious SLP options, $20K is still too much for that car, I don't care how nice it is. Did you get a list of the exact SLP options the car has? I can't make out all of it, but it doesn't really look like it's got anything special from SLP, here's what I can make out:
30th Anniversary package
Exhaust
Hurst shifter
synthetic fluids
SS Floor mats
Oil cooler
If it had chrome wheels, Level II suspension, Zexel Torsien diff, and other options then I might pay a little more, but as it sits right now I personally probably wouldn't even be interested in it. I definitely wouldn't pay more than $17K-$18K for it considering there are several on autotrader.com ranging from $16,500 to $17,500.
