what can I expect??

I have a 94 firebird with a LT-1 that I am rebuilding my motor. I put in splayed 4 bolt main caps along with ARP studs/bolts everywhere that I could. I bought an all forged Eagle rotating assembly for a 383 stroker also it will be bored .30 under with the stroker. I purchased a set of trickflow heads that combined with my pistons with give me approx 8.5 to 1 maybe 9 to 1 compression. also I am in the middle of buying a mild comp cam the numbers for the cam are 224-228 @ .560-.580 114 center. it will be hydraulic with roller rocker arms and a set of chrome molley pushrods. edelbrock intake which they will be coming out with it in the next 30 days as they are still doing dyno testing with it. I have a BBK 58 mm tb. also I order a del teq ignition system. my tranny has a 3200 stall convertor in it with a corvette servo and 9 power bands. ans I am looking at a moser 9 in rear end with a set a either 373 or 410.

I am looking for a conservative guesstimate on how many rear wheel horse power that I will be able to make with combo.

Also if I am possibly doing anything wrong like buy crappy products or the wrong product please let me know?

I was just looking for an estimate so I can figure out what size turbo I should get I am looking for around 600 rwhp to 650 rwhp. the guy from ststurbo.com stated a gt-67 would be good for my application but to me the numbers just dont add up to 600rwhp!!

What size injectors should I buy and what fuel pump rate should I purchase?

will the tranny hold up to this or should I look for a new tranny?

any help with this would be apprietiated!!!!

Re: what can I expect??

If you are running the stock 4L60E expect to destroy it in the first few launches. 650 rwhp is wayyyyy too much for a 4L60E to handle. The torque numbers will be in the 580 area and it wont last long...

Re: what can I expect??

Thank you for your responses I will look into getting a new tranny to support the horsepower. It probably doesnt matter but I think I have a 700r4 in it but still the tranny is built up a little bit but I was hoping that it would last a little while

any good ideas for transmissons?

any ideas what the hp rating will be on just the motor alone???

I destroyed a 4L60E with less than 65k miles on it with no more than a bolt-on car. You can't possibly expect to run a stock tranny on a setup such as that. I went through Dana at Probuilt Automatics to get mine rebuilt and it should be good to a 'proposed ~500hp.' We'll see how well it holds up, but thus far it has been working like a champ.

A 700R4 isn't going to hold up much more, if you really want to look at a solid reliable built transmission, go ahead and start pricing out built TH400's with high stall converters and the conversion kits to get them to bolt up to your car.

As far as all of your hypothetical questions, you need to narrow things down a little more and use that little search function with the forum and I promise you'll get a lot more information that you'll ever possibly want.
