I am very unsure of this but I will ask or mention:

Doesn't the Opti signal the fuel injectors to fire as well as spark??????????????

If this is true then maybe that is the problem???

Is it possible you have the two harness connectors for #5 and #7 switched? Have you verified you have +12V at the colored wire for each harness connector (the PCM supplies a "ground" to fire the injector).

Appears you somehow determined #5 and #7 were misfiring. You substituted two known good injectors to those two cylinders, and it did not fix the problem. Now you suspect the "fire" signal isn't getting to the injector. Put a "noid" light on those injectors, and it will tell you if they are getting the signal to fire.

Have you considered the possibility that the misfire is something other than the injectors? When you see two adjacent cylinders misfiring, look at the plug wires for a possible cross-fire.

The harness is getting the 12V to the injectors, and the injectors are not "clicking", they are intermittent at best., which leads me to believe they are not recieving the signal correctly. I have checked the wires, and 7 are on correctly, both injector and plugs. I am thinking the PCM is not sending the signal correctly. Could the opti cause this?
